I had a fox transfer dropper post (2024) on my specialized epic Evo and this dropper would stick periodically even though it wasn't that old and weathered. I could have gotten a One Up, Wolf tooth, PNW but decided to bite the bullet and get the RockShox AXS as I had the previous model on my other bike. Such a game changer! Easy to install and integrates well with the SRAM APP as I have the transmission derailleur. You do need to buy a dropper post remote though. I got the SRAM pod (left side) and you can configure this on the SRAM APP as well. I'm loving this axs dropper post!
I was searching for an aero wheelset for my rim brake bike build, a 2009 Giant TCR Advanced SL, and HED wheels were the best option by far. When it comes to rim brake aero wheels, HED stands out as the best choice. They undergo rigorous aero testing, provide excellent customer service, and feature a black aluminum brake track that offers braking performance comparable to disc brakes. While they are slightly heavier than all-carbon wheel sets (these have a carbon faring over an aluminum rim), I believe the brake track and optimized aerodynamics compensate for this in my opinion. Additionally, the 60mm depth of the wheels is surprisingly stable in crosswinds. Initially, I was considering the slightly shallower version, but I'm glad I opted for the 60mm. One unexpected aspect is the slight noise they produce due to the carbon faring. When you encounter obstacles like rocks, you can hear a distinct pinging and echoing sound. Despite this minor inconvenience, these wheels are truly exceptional.
No more searching where I left that extra garage door opener and throwing it behind the flower pot as I leave the garage.
I mounted it with out the snap together holder which looked easy enough but just wrapped some tape around the barrel of unit and it fit snugly in the end of handlebar and placed a thin strip of tape around end for extra security.
Setup was easy even though my opener was not listed, just a few trial button pushes to find the correct number to connect.
I purchased these tires to switch to tubeless on my new Scott Addict RC e-Ride 10. I've put about 500 km on them to date and I'm extremely impressed so far with the ride quality and most particularly, the (lack of) wear. In addition to my weekend rides, I commute 27 km each way to work a couple of days a week and portions of the route are littered with debris like broken glass, staples, nails, etc. Typically by now I'd be digging glass shards out of cuts in the tires, but so far these Vittoria's don't have a single cut of any kind and the tread is holding up very well. If they continue to perform the way they have so far, I'll buy them again, for sure.
