After I clean my drivetrain I give everything a generous amount of Prolink, work it into the chain and wipe off the excess. Keeps me running smooth.
We like the pro gold chain oil as it is easy to apply and wipe clean. We use it about every 100-150 miles.
Easy drip appication. Nozzle is adjustible. Apply one drop per link and wipe any excess. Use every 8 hours of riding.
I ride 4-5 times a week and often over 15 hours. Chain lube is very important to me, and I clean my chain after every ride. The ProGold ProLink lube is one of the brands I use regularly and have always been very hapy with the results.
I've been using ProGold for years. I've tried others, but nothing runs as well or as clean as this one. I ride a lot during the wet winters here in the PNW, so I apply it more often than some of the other, heavier, lubes, but it's worth it.
Been coming back to this lube more than others. A great choice!
I've been using this brand for several years. I have found it to be the best. Doesn't build up, helps keep the chain clean
Works like a charm, very easy to apply with little mess, as others have mentioned, does not seem to attract dirt and grime.
seems to be working very well
This is my preferred chain oil, do not use any other.
I've been using Pro Gold for a couple years - mostly on an high-mileage all-roadgravel bike. Really like the light, dry touch of this lube. Needs regular application, but it's ideal if you do routine chain cleaning and apply fresh lube with each cleaning session. I use it in wet and dry conditions and have been getting great chain life and smooth drivetrain operation.
I had been using White Lightening on all my bikes until I switched over to Prolink. I haven't noticed a marked difference compared to WL in performance and increased chain life. I do notice the road crud it tends to attract unlike the lime-based WL that I previously applied.
Easy to apply without making a mess, thanks to the applicator top. Seems to do a decent job of chain lubing without attracting a lot of dirt. I've been able to just wipe the chain down with a rag and keep it pretty spotless. Have only been using this for road riding in dry conditions, so can't speak to how it works for dirt and muddy conditions you'd encounter on MTB or gravel riding.
Makes the chain and cassette real black, not sure if it last as long as some of the other products I used in the past.
This is good and easy to clean.
Love this stuff, gives the right amount of lube without getting overly gunky like other wet lubes
I have been using this lube for over 10 years in year round weather conditions in Minnesota including snow, rain, and hot and cold. I use it sparingly with putting a drop on each link after cleaning chain. I then light wipe off any excess with a rag with a quick rotation of the chain. Overall, my chain remains relatively clean looking andor this lube doesn't pick up excessive dirt or doesn't turn black and dirty looking. I typically clean and relube my chain after about 15 rides or 200 miles or so.
This is my third bottle. Easy on and protects my chain and gears.
No complaints. Does what it is supposed to do. The applicator bottle is handy.
Prolink is an xlt lubricant that also does a great job of keeping grease from building up on the chain. However, every bottle of it I have used in the past few years leaks when I apply it to a rag. Stop it from doing that! It is also a bit pricey.
