I bought orange for higher visibility to motorists. Kept me warm during a wet 200km brevet. Rear pockets are tall - so a bottle won't fall out, and they have elastic across top. Zipper is long enough to adjust cooling as conditions change. The tail is long, so that when bent over in the drops, the hips are covered with bright orange - so approaching drivers see that, not black shorts. Appears well made - after several washings it is as-new. The cuffs are elastic, so they can't get caught on things (bar ends for ex.). I wear a very thin base-layer in cold weather, and then do not wash this but every 2nd or 3rd use. I will buy another.
Wool jerseys are expensive but I wouldn't wear anything else. They adapt to different weather conditions far better than other fabrics.
This is my second kucharik wool jersey. My first one is over 30 years old, a little faded a few moth holes but still fits and keeps me warm like only wool will do. Pockets that have been overstuffed repeatedly over the years, remain as tight as my new one. I actually was looking for something a little flashier, but you can't beat the price and the wear value. The deciding factor - it's made in the USA! My new Kucharik (large) has a longer front zipper for better venting ability. The fit, like my old one is perfect allowing for additional under layers without getting stretched out of shape ( I am 5'11 with a 32 inch waist line and a 40 inch chest) . The quality and workmanship is as good as my old one which means I will be buried in it, nah that would be a waste of a fine product. Thanks Kucharik!
