Description Internal Cable Routing Simplified
Take the guesswork out of installing cables, wires and housing inside the frame. The Park Tool IR-1.2 Internal Cable Routing Kit speeds the internal frame routing of electric wires, shift cables, housing, brake cables, housing and hydraulic tubing on carbon fiber, titanium, and aluminum frames. Kit includes four plastic coated 250cm cables with attached magnets and unique fittings plus an external guide magnet to speed operation. Newly updated to include a dedicated E-tube Di2 cable connector that easily pulls through a 6mm frame hole. Opposite polarity magnets on cables seek and attach inside frame tubes, making it easy to route through frame entrances and exits. Works with any size frame including tandems. A true time and frustration saver!

Very helpful
Thought I didn't need this because my frame sections are big with easy access openings, but routing is way less fidgety with this kit.

Indispensable Tool!

For internally routed bikes, this tool is a godsend. True, with a lot of patience, and often, a little luck, you can run your cables internally without this tool. The thing is this tool takes all of the patience and luck out of it. You just run the leader through with the magnet, attach the cablehose to the leader, and pull it through. Total frustration-saver!

Park Tool IR-1.2 Internal Cable Routing Kit

This tool is ok for most common situations. But on bike frames that are less common with unique internal routing it's mostly not that helpful. It's very useful for simple internal routing. So it is handy to have when you do need it. Magnets are reasonably strong. But on thicker carbon they don't penetrate. So if it's not simple routing you might want to use careful planning before just assuming these will help.

Not sure how I lived without it

Without a doubt one of the most useful tools in my workshop. If you have a carbon frame w/ complex internal cable routing this will save you loads of time and is easily worth twice what they charge for it.

Indispensable
I used it on a Specialized Aethos to pass the hydraulic brake hoses. I couldnt have done it without it. A bike shop would have charged me almost the cost of the tool so it was worth buying.

Must for any type of cable routing
Did a bunch of research on different cable routers and this looked most inclusive. It was a little more pricier but you can count on Park Tools performance and quality. Worked great and have options for all types of routing.

When I built my first road bike, I worried about routing the cable but with this tool, it made me confident and comfortable. Watched the instruction on youTube and did it.

Disappointing

I found that this kit lacked the most useful tool I needed to address my internal cable routing problem. A piece of cable liner is a must.
