Assos Chamois Creme - 200ml

Since most of my cycling is commuting (~21 miles round-trip), I don't feel the need to use chamois cream very often so haven't had any for awhile. However, recently i had some issues where it would be beneficial so bought this kind again and was reminded what I had been missing! Yes, it's on the more expensive end for chamois creams, but you don't need to use a lot for it to be effective and since I don't use it very often the previous container lasted me about 3 years. I've also never had any issues with residue on my gear which I've read can be a problem with other brands. It's even helped me extend the usable life of some shorts where the chamois material had become rougher with age to the point I would have tossed them if not for this cream.

Stays on well enough during the swim of a triathlon but washes off easily in the shower. While it doesn't feel like a necessity for me most of the time, for any races/longer group rides/anytime I feel like I need some extra chafing protection, I'm really glad I have it.

After 15 years of riding and lengthy indoor sessions last winter, I finally decided to give chamois creme a try. The chafing subsided! I now use Assos Chamois Creme for any indoor ride over an hour and on warm days outside. It makes a difference!

This is my go-to chamois cream. I used to use stuff like diaper rash cream, but it was clogging my chamois up and ruining it, so I had switched to the Assos stuff. It works well, and always washes out.

I would say it doesn't last the entirety of a long ride (over 4 hours), and not in the hottest of hot weather, but I don't think anything does honestly.

And it seems expensive. I guess you have to pay somehow, otherwise you get cheap diaper rash cream, but wreck your shorts. Pick your evil.

Yes, there are cheaper creams out there. But this one is thick and you don't have to use as much of it. This thing stays on your bits for the duration of your ride and it will keep you comfy and pedaling. Buy this.

Assos' Chamois Creme has taken the chafing and sting out of long indoor training rides. It doesn't take much, but the benefit is huge. One more discomfort eliminated! I use on any ride, indoors or out, longer than an hour, especially on warmer indoor rides.

It's great, just buy it. I did a couple of centuries and use it before rides on the trainer. I couldn't say enough good things.

Every now and then I will try a less expensive chamois creme. Every time I come back to Assos! With Assos, I have no saddle sores. Any type of irritation is lessoned using this creme. I have tried them all, this is the best.

I used to use a different brand and always viewed Assos as too expensive. But now that I'm using it, I have to admit, this is way better. I think it is worth the price, too. This is so much thicker than the previous creme I used to buy, so I don't use as much every time I apply it on. So in the end, they even out in price. And once I have it on, it doesn't feel like I wet myself. The other brand made it feel kind of squishy in the beginning. I can't imagine using any other creme.

I use this product for my usual jaunts which may last for 1-3 hours. With a good pair of liner shorts, this creme is a great addition for maximizing comfort on the saddle. It's a bit pricey, but I think it's worth it for the comfort and protection it provides. I highly recommend it. I have purchased this product several times.

use it before each ride in all of my body's seat friction areas. Works as advertised.

Have been using this for about 5 years and really like it.

I've tried Chamois Butt'r a few times, but didn't care for it. It is messier and hard to get out of the tube when it gets low.

For me the Assos is easier to apply and less messy and I like menthol. When empty the containers are great for small parts, small tools and me heart monitor.

Would be nice if it was a little cheaper.

Get it on sale when you can.

Saddle sore preventative. It works the best of any I've tried. Stays in place, is the correct viscosity for protection. It costs more, but is worth the extra pennies. No dollars matter when you've got a boil.

This is the best chamois cr'me out there. It feels great, not greasy. I would highly recommend this product.

I've tried many brands, small batch stuff, and mass produced stuff. Always keep some of this on hand though.

This stuff is not particularly cheap, but it's also not expensive either. Be generous when applying, apply to yourself and rub more into the chamois. Using this let's me use bibs that are close to their end of life when the chamois has seen better days. I do try other brands, and while they are useable, i always keep this around as it's consistently high performing. Sores no more :-) !

I like it, slightly heavier/thicker consistency than some. Helps to wash shorts in warm water/gentle cycle.
