The Lone Peak Expedition Seat Bag is a must have for backroad excursions. It extends out to almost 18 liters for multi-day trips, and it compacts down to carry a little under 5.5 L for the way home or a day trip. The 1000D textured nylon shell is durable, and rugged Coverlight truck tarp material is located at the seatpost and saddle contact points for extra wear-protection. An adjustable rail strap allows perfect mounting on any saddle, and the addition of a heavy-duty Velcro seatpost strap keeps the pack securely in place no matter the terrain.

Goods are packed inside the waterproof X-Pac nylon main compartment, which features an HDPE plastic insert to add rigidity, plus an internal quick-release compression strap that further increases stability while helping keep gear organized. When the cargo is packed, simply roll down the end and cinch the load using the four external compression straps and start riding.

Adjustable cargo capacity from 5.4 L to 17.89 L. Length is from 11" to 19.5". Claimed weight is 11.5 oz. Made in the USA.

Nifty Bag

I use this thing every day on commutes, while mountain biking, or keeping some extra clothes on a winter ride. Once I even filled it with 10lbs of fruit from the grocery store, and though it never faltered, it did get to swaying noticeable upon acceleration. This I hear is a common side effect of saddle bags without support stays, which is something I personally wish I had done more investigation on. It can also be a bit finicky to take off and on if you switch bikes around much. Nevertheless, this pack is well constructed and will keep your stuff dry in all but the worst of conditions. Maybe not the most innovative on the market, but it serves my needs quite well.

Doesn't fit around seat post tightly. Added some tape to snug it up. Otherwise good
