The E.Contact is specially designed to safely meet the demands of E-Bikes.

Continental's high elasticity rubber is hard wearing yet rolls quickly, so you get a long lasting tire that won't slow you down. Grooves in the tread help displace water and provide a little extra grip on gravel and forest trails. The Eco50Breaker offers great puncture protection beneath the tread, helping prevent glass and nails from working their way through.

The E.Contact is rated for speeds up to 30 mph (50 km/h) and is specifically designed to withstand the weight of an E-bike drivetrain. 3 ply casing with a total of 180 TPI. Available in 700c x 37mm (37-622 ISO) and 700c x 42mm (42-622 ISO). Max pressure: 85 PSI.

Incorrect info in description, very heavy.

I bought these because 37mm tires at 540g at this price seemed like a great deal for commuting and gravel riding.

It turns out they're actually 32mm tires and weigh about 750g each. So narrower and heavier than advertised. I'm no weight weenie, but close to 800g per tire is a lot of rotational inertia, eh?

Also, even inflated towards the low end of the range, the ride was pretty harsh. I assume that's because of the stiff sidewalls?

I'll be returning the unused one and not sure what I'll do with the one I actually mounted and rode.

Hi,

Thanks for your review! You're right -- our posted weight information was incorrect. Thanks for pointing out our mistake! I believe our customer service department has been in touch with you about making things right. Tire width can vary a lot based on rim width and other factors, so we try to publish the manufacturer's stated width for the tires we sell.

Thanks,
Stacia

I put a pair of this on my e-bike. I got rid of the vibrations at high speed and also I have had no punctures in despite of glass debris, goat heads, etc. The reflective walls are also very visible when riding at night.
