Castelli's warmest bib tight is designed for the toughest among us who don't want to let a little winter weather get between them and a good ride. Featuring the warmest offering from Gore, the Windstopper® X-Fast fabric across the front wraps around the sides of the thighs, extending the coverage for optimal protection from the wind and rain. Out back, Castelli's Thermoflex fabric lends the Polare 2 Bibtight an extra layer of thermal protection, keeping in body heat while still allowing for some ventilation to prevent overheating.
Up top, Castelli provided a minimal bib upper to allow you to choose how warm you want your core to be. On extra cold days, there's more than enough room for a thermal long sleeve baselayer without overheating. Inside, their KISS Air chamois allows for excellent cushioning and relief without excessive bulk.
- Full Gore® Windstopper® X-Fast front for total wind protection.
- Thermoflex Core2 back for extra warmth with brushed fleece inside.
- KISS Air seat pad gives great cushioning without excessive bulk.

After doing research from various high end brands. These Castelli Men's Polare 2 Bibtights seem to be regarded as the best bibs for the coldest weather.
They are warm enough in fact that I would not recommend riding with them in temps over 40F. I rode in some 25-30F weather with a good deal of wind recently. And my legs were doing just fine.
As with any Castelli product, if you are an American you really do need to size up. And these bibs are definitely no exception. Because they are so good at being wind proof. They do not really stretch much. So, you won't be able to shove your legs into these if you picked the wrong size. I typically wear a large bib, and sized up to XL and they are nice and tight.
If you want to be able to ride in very cold weather, these bibs are really the way to go.
