I've glued about 12 tubulars with this tape. It goes on pretty tidy and I feel confident in the hold it provides. Worth spending some time on Youtube to get the tips and tricks of application. I'm never using glue on road tubulars again.

This tape works very well with Tufo tires because it actually interacts with the tires backing material to enhance the bond. For tires with a cotton backing I would use glue in addition to the tape.
Decided that I should start racing road (masters cat 4) on tubulars. Mounted the tires myself. Not difficult. 200 miles since then ,racing rough roads, 40mph descents and have seen no problems. Starting to trust them.

I've been using glue tape for my tubulars for years now, for both road & CX. I'll never go back. Usually I put one coat of regular glue (using a small brush) on new tires, however once a rim has been glued before I rarely if ever put more glue on the rim. Then when the glue dries it's easy to mount on the rim on top of the gluing tape and align the tire.
No more glued up t-shirts, hands, etc. and I've never rolled a tire. I have no idea why anyone wouldn't gluing tape for tubulars vs. all old-style glue. Aside from tradition, that is...
Worked great on carbon rims. The best part is you can adjust the tire on the rim before you take the foil off. No more bumps in the tire from improperly tensioning the tire on the rim as you can fine tune it before removing the foil.
This tape is extremely easy to use and a whole hell of a lot cleaner than regaular glue. I have also found that this is one of the more cheaper websites on which to purchase this product.

...and it couldn't have been a smoother process thanks to Tufo's tape system. I've been interested in tubular rims for a while and was hesitant because of the glueing process. The Tufo tape made this process easy, easier than installing clinchers. I've changed a few tires now and won't be going back to clinchers any time soon.
I've been gluing on tubulars for several years, and the interval multi-day clean up process required when changing tires has always been dreaded. But when I had to change a flat recently on a wheel my team mate had mounted with the tape, I was blown away with how easy the whole process was. The tire I removed and the one I replaced it with stayed firmly mounted thru all my summer racing. But the best part is how easy the swap out was. No more long hours and blistered fingers to get the rims cleaned up. This is a great product.
I have been riding tubular tires for20 years and I love their feel, light weight and cornering ability. Many of my friends would like to ride tubulars but have hesitated because of the gluing process previously required.Once I discovered how easy it is to glue a tubular to a carbon rim using the Tufo Gluing tape, I have been able to convinced several of my friends to switch to tubulars. The Tufo tape is very easy to apply and if done correctly, leaves no mess and allows immediate riding with no drying period. This is especially important when you are in the mountains and don't wish to descend on a tubular that hasn't been properly attached as was the case with the older process of gluing the tire onto the rim.
Makes installation a breeze. So far I've only had to pull off oe tire for repair. I didn't have any problem removing a Vitoria tire using my hads only, no tools. Cleaned rim using a plastic picnic knife anda little mineral spirits. So far, I have not noticed any issues while riding but I am not that aggressive in the corners.
