The air chuck on this pump works exceptionally well. Easy to put onto a presta with no air loss, locks securely and pumps easily to high pressure. Solid base, nice padded handle and an easy to read gauge makes keeping correct tire pressures an easy chore. My old Silca Pista cast iron pump is a classic and works well enoughif you don't mind the chuck popping off frequently but my wife hates it. I tried one of the new Super Pistas and disliked it. Very fussy to attach like the old one and fussier to remove the air chuck. The Silcas are elegant looking compared, but the this Topeak actually works better for much less expense. The Silca will become the designated travel pump.
This is the best pump I've ever used. The valve clamp goes on very tightly, it pumps to 100s very quickly, a quick release and has a steel base. What more could you want?
I've had four other floor pumps in this price range over two years and none surpasses this. The valve attachment is the best yet and always connects and disconnects smoothly and accurately. I can't say enough about this pump!
Other floor standing pumps have failed to connect with valves or have broken valves on pulling them off after pumping up, requiring replacement of the tube.
As floor pumps go, this is my standard. It can handle both type vale, it is easy to use, and has been dependable. This one was a replacement for one that lasted for years.
Improvements over previous model with better handle and foot pad supports.
Very solid bike pump. Still using original sport model as well.
Simple, lasts, standard for all..
This is my 3rd Topeak pump. They are all still in service. I've had good and bad experiences with them. However, I'm very handy and their customer service is very good and they'll go out of their way to make you happy within reason. This one I bought for my middle son. My other pumps have universal heads but I must say the dual head of this pump works best with Schrader (fat) valve than the universal head.
I have been cycling for 37 years and in that time I have used many floor pumps. I got this about three months ago and can honestly say that this the best I've ever owned. I use for Presta valve tires and the connection is rock solid. Disconnect couldn't be better. Honestly, this is the pump I have been looking for ever since I started using sewups back in the 70's. Even comes with adapter pin for basketballssoccer balls...etc. If this was stolen, lost, or run over by a car, I would get the same exact model to replace it. No doubt about it.
I waited to review this product till I used it for almost a whole year. Pump is great. I love that it work for both my road bike and my wife's Mtn bike. I have yet to have a single issue with it (unlike other more expensive pumps I've owned). I would certainly recommend this pump to everyone.
Great pump, but tricky to connect to presta valve.
This is a popular pump, a number of friends have it. Great value.
Likes easy to use, easy to read guage with rotating dial to mark psi needed, well made, easy on the wallet.
Dislikes none
Bought it to replace the floor pump I've had for 26 years. It pumps up tires with speed and little effort.
6 bikes at home, so we have several pumps, but it seemed every time I needed a pump, none to be found ... so I got my own! Love the dual heads since some of my friends have different valves, but most of all love that when we gals have a pump with us, no one seems to need it!
Excellent pump
Excellent pump
Great and versatile pump
I have had 5 or 6 Joe Blow pumps in the last 7 or 8 years. They work great, but parts give out and then the pump doesn't work. Usually it's just one part. Right now I have a Joe Blow Floor pump and there is a screw on cap at the end of the Presta valve that has a crack in it, letting air seep out when I am pumping up my tire. The pump is otherwise fine, but won't work without replacing this part. But since parts do not appear to be available, I think I have to scrap the whole thing. Hoping to find a better brand of pump.
The only pump you need.
I bought this because I have both Presta and Schroeder valves on the bikes and wanted to have a pump that did not need a Presta adapter. It works well, but the lever to set the inflator on the valve is a bit difficult to use. Otherwise, it is solid and seems accurate.
This pump is easy to use because of the small diameter cylinder means low effort and the long pump stroke provides high volume. the pressure gage with its moveable pointer is easy to read and helps insure accurate and consistent pressure settings.
The only negative comment I have is that the double valve is large enough to make hook up and disconnects awkward. Since I have never owned a presta valve tube I would have preferred a schraeder valve only fitting.
