Best way to put a chain together. Reusable--makes it easy to take the chain off for cleaning, etc. Have used for several years and have never had one come apart accidentally.
I have one of these on all my chains and have not had a problem with any of them. Sometimes it is a little difficult to undo.
The price was right and it never hurts to have spare with you to get you home if your chain suffers a catastrophic failure. (I have never had one, but they say it happens, so....)
Works exactly as intended. Just put the two sides together, add some tension, and you've got a complete chain.
Never ride without a few of these. This is a great link and saved me from turning my mtn bike ride into a long walk to the car. Awesome!
All my cycling companions carry the 9 and 10 spd link in our on and off road bikes. And, they have been used to repair chain breaks, and easily done.
