Replaceable cleats have required a lot of replacing because of peeling heel

Got a pair of Sidi Dragons three years ago, and I have had to replace the treads three times already. I use them for gravel/mtn riding, maybe about 1,000-1,500 miles per year at the most, and I would not say I do much walking in them. What has required replacing are the heel treads -- they have PEELED OFF, not worn down. Each time, the other cleats are not worn down (e.g., my Crank Bros cleat is still well below the treads in the front). Tried to re-glue the heel treads a couple of times, but the glues have not held.

For these shoes, I paid a quite a bit more than I usually would for cycling shoes, thinking that these would last forever. The tread replacement kits are not cheap, so I've put in about $130 in replacement treads in three years -- makes me think that I could just bought a new pair of $100 shoes for four or five years for this total amount!

These are premium quality shoes sold by a premium quality business!

I did not want to wear out the soles and have to throw these in the landfill. These shoes have replaceable soles and will outlast me!

They fit perfectly, especially with the Mega option for wide feet. Build quality is premium. Not made in China! Synthetic materials are attractive and highly durable. Ventilation is excellent. I have had them fully submerged in creeks and mud and they always clean up looking better than before.
