I wear Shimano shoes for both mountain bike and road riding.
I originally ordered the regular size shoe and it didn't fit and was too tight in the toe box.
The wide size shoe is very comfortable for both short rides and 4 +hour long rides on my bike.
The quality and durability have been what I expect from Shimano so far.
I am not real happy with the fit. With only one boa, it is not a well fitting shoe. However, it does work and I have already put hundreds of miles on them. If your looking for cost effective, this is the shoe.
Shoe size is accurate. Cleats are not included, so order them with the shoe.
Road cycling. Wear size 11 running shoe, standard width. The "wide" 45 fits perfect. Not super stiff but good enough for average cyclist. Highly recommend. This is my second pair.
They seem to painfully tighten up around the top of my foot even if I have the boa quite loose. The wrap around upper just seems like a bad design.
Also, any cycling shoe that has a unidirectional Boa gets 1 star off, as there is no reason not to use the bidirectional boa.
Not as pretty as Sidi shoe in my opinion, but seems to work okay. I have a wide foot and bought the "Wide" version. It's not all that wide, marginal for a EE shoe wearer. I'm hoping that it will stretch a little with use.
I'm an active road cyclist and switch from MTB style to a road shoe because of foot pain. These worked. Easy on off, comfortable, and a fair price compared to the 2, 3 ,and 400 dollar shoes.
I like the slightly longer tongue than the more expensive version, but the single BOA does not seem to hold the foot as snugly as the double BOA system on the more expensive version. It's a good value though, does the trick. In all fairness I think you have to make adjustments to almost every shoe while you ride.
Fit is dialed in perfect, not too narrow or wide. Very comfortable yet still easily adjustable and stiff enough to get the power down.
A well made shoe. It is comfortable but it is not really that much wider than the standard Shimano shoes. Good power transfer
