It was very easy to install, easier than I expected. This includes adjusting the caliper position and the rotor. I appreciated the very unusually quiet sound and the easy feel against my rotor/disc. Beyond this, the pads let me down a little, concerning the most important aspect of its purpose, stopping. How long should it take to "break in" and get the desired stopping distance? I have ridden the bike for hundreds of miles and have had to rely very heavily on the semi-metallic front pads to get the gravel bike to stop on demand. They've been adjusted as tightly as possible as I am not a fan of long brake lever travel. While I am finally beginning to feel better results, It should not have taken so long.
I will try other brands for certain next.
I put these in my mechanical disc brake set-up which is iffy under the best of conditions! I installed these pads and then left for K-Falls to do the Outback. I was pleasantly surprised at how well these worked on a loaded bikepacking bike and in all types of conditions
I replaced the pads that came with my TRP Spyre brakes with these - no complaints about the braking but they howl in the wet and squeak in the dry - unlike the original pads.
