Before this, I only had experience with road pedals. My son has these pedals on his gravel race bike and recommended them to me. I was skeptical about the smaller platform, but have found that this has not caused any issues, either with power transfer or ease of use. I love the two-sided functionality for the on and off of gravel riding. The touches of the gravel-specific design are also nice visually.
Good pedals. I think they're the same as the M8100 XC, but Shimano is charging more because they're branded 'limited edition gravel'
