These were replacements for a previous set of 105's that I put 5000+ miles per year and probably had 20000+ miles on. Somewhere along the line the rear lip which engages the cleat broke and a small portion came off. The result was a feeling that my shoe wasn't fully in the pedal or that something was under the cleat. For me an old guy who just loves to put in the miles I took the advice of our older son and didn't go for the next level up as it would have been overkill. Hopefully get many thousands of miles before these need to be replaced.
I bought these pedals was a little uncertain at first but after riding about 500 miles. I wish I had bought them sooner they are easy to get in and out of would recommend them
