I replaced Tektro brake calipers with 105 calipers and wow! What a difference! My stopping distance is much shorter and I have much better modulation now than I did before. I actually like these calipers better than my older 6700 series Ultegra calipers. At this price, these are probably the best value caliper available to those of us still running rim brakes.
Purchased for my Wife's bicycle because I liked how they perform on my bicycle. I plan to replace the pads with Kool Stop, but to be honest the black Shimano pads have sufficient stopping power.
Awesome brakes! I was able to use a discount code too, so even better. In my opinion, just as good as Ultegra but only a little heavier. Why spend more on Ultegra when 105 R7000 is fantastic?
Seem to be better peforming than my Sram Apex's. Lighter spring tension, better modulation.
