I've been riding with the POC Octal Mips Helmet now for about a month and I find it does a nice job of keeping me cool on these very warm Arizona summer rides. The helmet was a breeze to fit as it required very little adjustment and fit well almost directly out of the box. The straps are very easy to adjust even while riding. I find the helmet to be nice, light and comfortable to wear. The only downside is the straps in the front are attached to the helmet about 1/2" from the side of my face which makes wearing my sunglasses on the outside of the straps ... as I do on all my other helmets ... not practical. Overall, the POC Octal Mips is a nice product.
I've tested this helmet on several occasions where I ended up in the hospital. Yes, I bought a new helmet after each "test" and my head never was the worst of my injuries.
That's why I continue to buy the same helmet over and over.
My head won't fit into a Smith, Oakley, etc size large, but the large in POC is perfect. The fit and finish don't feel as nice as my first POC octal that I got in 2018, but it is still very light, very breathable, and this one has MIPS. Would buy again
This helmet is comfy and well vented. The glasses garage is such a nice thing to have as well! Plus, after a crash at around 40mph my noggin was safe.
Fits really well. Very lightweight and comfortable. I can hardly feel it on my head comparing to my previous helmet. The L size fits the 58cm head really well.
The Octal MIPS is extremely lightweight with good ventilation. I like how far down the helmet comes in the back for better coverage.
