Overall this is a great light! Very bright, has a cool flash pattern, energy efficient. My only gripe is the on-off switch. It requires a lot of searching for the exact right spot to push, and then a lot of pressure to turn on-off. Maybe I'm being picky? The only flaw in an otherwise super product!
This is an exceptionally bright tail light. I have one mounted on my commuter bike and always feel confident that I am seen by cars behind me. I bought one after being amazed by a fellow rider's light one day.
This tail light fit perfect on my bike in a vertical direction. It is easy to use and provides bright and flashing lights to let cars see me easily.
This light catches your attention when it comes into view. A bright red blinking light and it seems visible from a very wide angle of view. And in the dark is it difficult to miss, even if not looking directly at it. The price seems more than fair for how well it works. I cannot recall how many hours are on the batteries, so suffice to say they last quite a while. I am sure that I have 70 hours at this point. I have have had no issues at all and I have bought three of these lights. Two for my present bikes and a replacement for one that turned up missing.
I would buy again.
I wanted a light that would wake up drivers when they approach me from the rear. This light does that. It is really bright and can be seen from a long way off which is what you want when you are riding beside any highway or on those country roads. I hope I can find a similar light for the front.
Great in low light conditions
This light fits perfectly on my seat post or clips nicely to my jersey. Easy to clip on or off the bike. Very bright light that is very visible at night or low light hours.
This tail light can be clearly seen from a significant distance by motorists who are paying attention. The are even quite visible during the day. The installation options are excellent. As the lead cyclist for out and back running races, these lights get oncomming runners' attention and aid in enableling me to clear the way for the first place runner as we pass back through the pack.
I think this is the best tail light out there. I've tried others but this one has survived through rain and being jettisoned off my saddle bag on a super bumpy descent. It's really bright yet doesn't burn the retinas of my friends riding behind me. They've improved the chain stay mount so it stays put and the light stayed on it on that same really bumpy descent. It's everything you need in a tail light and at a great price.
Having sampled a couple dozen different lights over the decades, the best there is. Especially good for training alone. I use two on the front and two on the back of the helmet clipped over zip-ties. Local bad roads or cyclocross eventually destroy everything mounted to the bike. I still have the 0.5 watt lights, buy the new 1.0 watt version.
The other reviews say it all.
I have used various other lights but nothing comes close to the Blinky in this price range.
In fact double the price and you will still not find a better brighter light.
I ride a low handcycle and need to be seen on the raod. This does an excellent job, even during daylight hours.
I got the light for low-light riding. I don't always use the same bike. The mounts are ugly and assume your stays are round. I used the built in clip to attach to my jersey, or my commuting backpack. It fell off the backpack.
This is the best blinky light out there. They have a pulse of brighter light in between flashes of lesser light that really gets attention. When riding at night getting attention is everything. The only thing I don't like about this light is that if you just clip it to your bag or jacket expect to lose it. The clip doesn't stay put unless you secure it with a rubber band or zip tie. I've lost one this way and found three on the road because some other poor souls lost theirs. It is very secure on the bike mount though. It's water tight and easy to turn on and off. One set of batteries lasts me all winter with my evening commute. You don't need to buy more expensive ones or look any further. Just get it.
Performance matches other similar but more expensive products. Default pattern is catchy - ascending red blinks capped by a white POP from the top flasher. I've had riders tell me they couldn't ride a pace line behind me because my tail light was too bright. This is a good problem to have IMO. Exactly what you want in dark, foggy or rainy situations.
I use this on dark cloudy days and when the sun is low. I clipped it on my utility rear bag and it holds nice. I only use the flashing setting and feel much safer as I know cars can see me when they are coming up from behind
So far this light has been great. Much brighter than my previous light, definitely feel like drivers can see me now. I've used it in rain, snow and freezing weather, so far it keeps on working just fine.
Bright, well made. Sometimes it's hard to turn on of off because there is no button, you press on the bottom and flex the plastic housing. Just something you have to get used to. Sometimes I can reach back and turn it on while riding, sometimes I have to stop and get off the bike.
This light is great until it rains. I do ultra distance road racing and ride and train in all types of conditions. The light is great until it rains. Ride with two tails lights at all times and in last race both failed.
RAAM (Race Across America) Solo, I used two of these lights on my rear stays for safety, the best rear light regardless of price, meaning I have tried lights that cost hundreds of dollars and this light is MORE effective than anything I have tried. This light has kept me safe in daytime, bright sun, nights when it was foggy in Alaska or tremendous rains in Illinois during RAAM. Manufacturer Customer service is excellent.
I swear by this light and recommend it to EVERYONE and should be on during the day, especially with the increased traffic on the roads.
