I bought these on clearance, so the value for the price I paid was excellent. They are the 2021 model. I am 5'-11" tall and weigh 160 pounds with a 33" waist. The large fits nicely!
These are good for temperatures in the upper 40's and 50's. The material is soft and comfortable.
The chamois is thinner than the one used in the AmFib tights from 2019 and 2021. Comfortable for rides of an hour and a half for me, but I haven't tried any longer rides.
Other reviews have stated that the straps are thin and tend to bunch up but can be flattened out for comfort. I found this to be true.
I got this bib on closeout, with several Pearl O. apparel products in my cycling wardrobe, I have never been disappointed in PO quality. I am 5'11" , 175, 69 years of age. This bib (Large?) is TIGHT on me, but unlike many 69 year olds, I am not carrying a extra 1/3 of a person when I ride...,.LOL. I am a Midwest Transplant, road bike rider, living in FL for 25 plus years, I can not comment on warmth, I wear the bib when temp drops into 60's and 50's..., or rarely 40's (your blood thins out down here).Plus(s)...flattering fit for people who have taken care of their bodies...butt pad is really high quality, I have an entry level PO bike short, no comparison. Minus (s),shoulder straps are lightweight, almost sheer...better for an evening gown, although having moved to a rural area several years ago, I haven't recently had that opportunity...more robust shoulder straps, may pay full $...
Have tried several bib tights (Castelli, Louis Garneau) and the Pearl Izumi's are my favorite! I've ridden in the mid 30's F and for me, I wouldn't wear these in any lower temps by themselves. On the upper end, they've been comfy up to 60 F. I also like that they don't have ankle zippers, which make them more comfortable with high top boots/shoes. I'm 5'7"/160 lbs and the medium fits just fine. My one complaint is the flimsy shoulder straps, they tend to fold over like a shoe lace, so they could be a little beefier.
I'm 6'1", 185 lbs and purchased the large. The fit is good and I'm happy with the chamois. Fit is consistent with PI tights I have ordered in the past. For me I like the fit of PI tights and shorts better than most.
Rode in the low 40's and was comfortable. I'm sure I would be ok down into the 30's. Probably go for the Amfib if temps are low 30s/20s.
I use the bibs in the cool NY weather, 20's and 30's to keep me warm on my winter road rides. I don't like the straps, they are very
thin.
Great shammy!. Great price! staff very helpful
These tights are great; I'm comfortable at 40F rides (haven't tried much colder) and 50F is my upper limit. They don't feel restrictive and I was unsure about the padding at first but now it's great.
Comfy
