The work stand comes with a QR axle mount. I had to buy this so my through axle bikes ( which are all of them now) can mount on my stand. Expensive, but necessary adapter. Only 4 stars because the threads are SO tight on the tightening knob.
my old stand is for quick release and does not work well for through axle. This part works for both.
I started building disc road bikes and this really is a plus in using my 10+ yrs old PT bike stand.
