Have NR 1000 light on bike, bought second NR Lumina Micro 900 to mount on helmet for nighttime Fat Biking in Alaska, its nice to see moose before you get stomped. Have been impressed with battery life even at extremely cold temperatures. Blinking feature is nice for extra visibility along roads in the daylight.
Quite hefty and a little on the heavy side, but, it did its job.
Using in strobe mode, does not last as long as I would like, so, back up has to go always.
Like:
Light Weight, small form factor
USB Rechargeable
Bright mostly kept on medium
Battery life enough for 2 hr ride kept mostly on medium.
Dislike:
Wider than regular lumina lights interferes with bike computer
Black color, wish it was a brighter color so it's easy to find in case it falls off.
Would buy again
The brightest light for the size. It's amazing how bright it is for the size it is. I have it mounted underneath my handle bars. So small an sleek you don't even though it's there.
Most of the time it is used in the flashing mode, though when riding in tunnels on the Blue Ridge Parkway the full light is used. It replaces a NR600 from years ago.
I bought this as a helmet light for MTB riding in the dark. This light does not last as long as advertised before needing recharged. I went on a MTB night ride with it fully charged and on the middle setting, and it died after 1.5 hours. Good thing I had a CygoLight on my handlebar.
this lighter nite rider for my helmet works as described and is great for my helmet or for my handlbars!
Excellent all around. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the flashing mode is slower than the older model, I wish it flashed faster.
Of course very bright with 900 lumens. I feel safe tightening the plastic bracket (with rubber shim if needed) onto carbon handlebar. I like the blink mode for safety on daytime rides.
