Don't settle for anything less, you won't regret it.
I road bike for 1.25 hours (20+ miles) every other day as part of my workout regime. The helmet is comfortable and lightweight to the point that you don't even know it is there. And, the helmet has MIPS; Multi-directional Impact Protection System. Having gone done before I know how important it is to have a quality helmet.
Fortunately I've not had to test the impact protection that this helmet provides. I did have to return the original one that I purchased because it was too big. I like the way it sits on my head and there is clearance for my sunglasses. I purchased white for better visibility when I ride on our town streets and some of the local highways. Not a lot of traffic but I want to be seen from a distance.
I initially bought a different brand of MIPS helmet which I didn't like and returned. This one fits great and is really nice looking. The MIPS insert will make it feel slightly different than a conventional helmet, but was no issue. Very nice helmet and an added benefit of being even safer.
This is a replacement helmet after a crash.
PROS: Light, good fit, easy adjustments, comfortable, good price
CONS: Somewhat difficult to place/hold sunglasses in vents
When it became time to purchased a new helmet there was no decision, ... it was going be a Lazer Z1 in the cool hi-vis yellow. It's down to being comfortable, protected and being seen.
Very good looking and lightweight. Maybe need more colors option.
I purchased the Lazer Z1 MIPS helmet this past summer and what a difference! The helmet is so lightweight and with all the air vents making rides comfortable. (I ride between 30-60 miles daily with a couple of century rides). It�s so easy to fit to your head if you�re wearing bandanna, Halo, or nothing. I added the back light to the helmet since I ride at night, a nice safety feature.
Literally my go to helmet for any type of ride. Perfect fit, awesome ventilation...and the high-vis yellow adds another level of safety.
Good fit and liked adjustable knob on top of helmet. But I dont like the large cutout in front of helmet leaves too much of forehead exposed
This helmet works for me better than the Bell with the undersized chin strap.
In the summer heat, this lid is provided great ventilation.
Helmet is in the top tier of safety ratings. Bright yellow for visibility. Very comfortable fit, and easy to adjust via the thumb wheel.

light, positionally stable, and comfortably accommodates a variety of eyewear. Ratcheting system not as precise as Giro or Bell MIPS'. Base sizing seems slightly different. Purchased because of the pony-tail feature which allows me to tie a wetted headband, with the ends laying upon my neck. The tie stays in place and the ends are re-wetted for coolness. It is my go-to hot weather helment and has been on my head since late May.
best for hot weather road riding
The helmet fits well and is lower profile, less mushroom-y than a typical helmet. I hope I don't get a chance to weigh in on how well it protects in a crash.

This is my second Z1. My first one was damaged in a crash. I think it saved my life or, at minimum, a severe head injury.
This helmet pushes air down around the temple which is amazing. It hardly has any contact with your head when on. The mips layer doesn't touch your head and doesnt affect air flow.
I clearly bought this helmet because I wanted better ventilation and it delivered.
Ligth weight, very comfortable, excellent ventilation, straps are top notch. Fits my head really well. As far as the aesthetics of the helmet, Im a bit torn........
Ive had a lot of helmets, as Ive been riding for 20 years, and its the best Ive ever had.
