Very nice shoe! I commute a total of about 40 miles three times a week in these shoes. I have probably got around 500 miles on them. Sole is nice and stiff plenty of width ie. no more Morton's neuroma pain! I wish they were made in the United States, but at least I'm not supporting a communist nation as I believe they were made in South Korea.
I have wide feet. Not too wide, but I felt squeezed by modern cycling shoes. Just for the record, I wear Altra for running shoes. For that reason, I've been looking for wide cycling shoes.
I won't name the brand, but there's a brand that offered very wide shoes. I tried them, but they were too wide. And they were also too cushy for comfort.
I like this specific model of Lake (I haven't tried the others), because while they offer wide fit, they aren't too wide. I felt very connected without being too squeezed.
I love my lake shoes. This is my second pair and it even fits better then last one. My shoes (First Pair) are many years old I bought the second to keep at my main residence. They fit like a glove 13 wide and comfortable. They are stiff on bottom and transfers the energy right to pedals. They are very expensive, but worth every dollar and they last forever
Accommodates my wide feet. Shape feels a little different than my road CX238-X, but I'm not sure if that's break in. The tongue feels stiffer and presses into my ankle a bit.
