Easy enough to assemble and it works as expected. The lowering and raising of the rack to allow for access to the back of my CX5 is super easy and reliable contrary to what I read in the magazine review.
You can find fancier hitch racks but you'll always pay (sometimes a lot) more for a product that does the exact same thing as this one. This thing isn't just the best value, it's also got some unique bona fides compared to more expensive options. // The unique wishbone shape makes this the lightest platform rack out there, super easy to install and remove. And if you do keep it on your vehicle it doesn't block your plates or your rearview camera when virtually all others would. The empty central space means you don't need to bend over the rack to load/unload your bikes, you can walk right up to it. // Only real drawback is installation needs a tool for the cam rather than the hand crank on higher end models. This is the only sacrifice it makes that actually feels like an oversight rather than a clever way to save money. Otherwise it feels like the cost-cutting measures are entirely worth it because in the end it has the same functionality as an NV at almost half the price.
Simple and straight forward quality rack. Easy to use. Lighter than many other racks. Keeps bikes securely locked in.
