Bought this for my wife after the cheapo bell she had fell apart. It seems to be well made and has a nice 2 tone chime. She needed a left-handed bell that wasn't too large and this bell is perfect.
Nice action on lever, just make sure you measure your handle bars before ordering as it will not fit on many bars.
I have the Incredibell Duet Brass Bell on all of my bikes (6). It has the crisp distinctive resonance unique to brass bells. Easy trigger action, and sturdy construction.
The bell is cute and easy to operate. Don't expect to mount it on larger-diameter handlebars, because the mounting loop is small. The sound it produces is a smallish 'ping', unlike the more resonant tones of some larger bells. On the other hand, it is not obnoxious. The bell works fine for one of my bikes (would not fit on either of two others) and would be excellent for a child's bike.
I like the side crank action of the bell - I have another pull-down ding bell which has worn a hole in the thumb of my glove.
I like the bell to give others a heads up to my presence on the road and trail. Does the job admirably. Won't fit on road bike drop bars next to the stem though. You need the one with the strap mount for that.
The Duet Brass Bell is just terrific. It is compact and has a nice, clear ring to it. It far exceeded my expectations and is an excellent value for the price. Simply the best!
This two-tone bell sounds great and projects its noise a long way, so it does turn heads when I use it to get someone's attention. I've positioned it so that can flick the bell with my thumb without moving my hands from the brakes. Love it!
I ordered one of these for my wife, two kids and me. I use it on my commute and it is easier to get a jogger's attention from a ways off. Better than yelling "on your left!" constantly.
I really like the tone on this bell. It has a beautful double ring and can be heard well out on the trail.
Great looking brass bell. Easy to ring and sounds just right.
Just be sure to know the diameter of the bar your mounting it on.
It would not work anywhere on my newer carbon bike. I got it on the stem of my old steel Italian bike, wouldn't fit the bars.
While walking in Yosemite, I heard a single "ding" from somewhere, then, another. Thinking it was from the wedding across the way, I ignored it. Shortly, a very annoyed recumbent tricycle rider came upon my wife and me.
In sharp contrast, when my wife and I were riding a bike path crowded with pedestrians, all turned to see us coming when my wife rang her Incredibell Duet--the double "ding-ding" says clearly "bicycle coming" without being obtrusive.
