Purchased a small for my wife. I think the MIPS system makes the fit a little tighter, which is good for her. The red and white color is very nice.
Probably the worst that I can say about the Giro Synthe MIPS is that I have to check make sure I am wearing it. Its a great fit and easy to adjust and coupled with its low weight, can forget that I'm wearing it.
Also MIPS adds additional confidence in reducing severity of injury.
I have used this helmet for years. they have saved my head on three occasions. they saved me from concussions.
Use it for road biking generally every day - 100 to 150 miles weekly. The Giro Synthe MIPS Helmet is probably the most comfortable helmet I have worn in over 35 years of cycling. The adjustable knob in back makes fitting helmet to head extremely easy. The light weight is super - you don't fell like you are even wearing a helmet. There is nothing I don't like about the helmet.
I have tried several helmets in the past and this is by far my favorite. The last one I had cracked during a mountain bike accident but my head survived in tact.
After a family member was hit by a vehicle, I spent the money on this upgrade. It is what it claims to be. It is slightly larger than my previous helmet, but with the added protection, I deemed worth that cost. Very comfortable, with slots that allow good airflow.
Not an expert on helmets, and not a serous high mileage rider, and fairly new to cycling, but love high quality gear! This helmet seems well made & really lightweight. In the end I decided to try the POC Ventral air spin instead, as I love the looks, European & elegant! Its just a personal thing, but both seem to be of very high quality! Cheers!
This is my second Synthe MIPS. Well ventilated, light, comfortable straps and easy adjustment. My one minor complaint is that Giro seems to have used the same mold and just inserted the MIPS so being on the cusp of small and medium, I had to size up to get anything more than a Really thin scullcap underneath. This is now my late fall/winter helmet.
The fit and feel of the helmet is great. Decent airflow and a spot for my sunglasses. The only minor issue is the front padding. It turns into a sweat pad on hot, long rides and will drip down onto your face. Ive remedied that by just wearing a cycling cap beneath on hot days.
Bought to replace non-MIPS Kask Protone. Both good helmets just preferred the updated technology. My head measures 22.5 inches and medium fits me perfectly. Light good looking helmet I hope I never have to test it.
Purchased this helmet for the safety protection system. In addition it has a great fit and the airflow really does keep your head cool. It is more expensive than some other helmets but well worth the price.
Had the Cinder. Was looking for something a little lighter. This fits the bill. Less neck ache. Haven't really worked out how my Ray Bans work with the sun glass retainer. The retaining strap seems better as well. Fit is consistent with Giro.
i picked this helmet because I like this MIPPS system the best and because It has better cooling than most.

Comfortable fit, great airflow, light weight. I live in Louisiana where superior ventilation characteristics are a must in the heat and humidity. This helmet has what it takes.
Can't beat this helmet, most comfortable one I've ever owned. Lightweight and fits perfect.
This is the third Giro Synthe helmet Ive bought and the second with MIPS. The fit is great and it looks great, too.
Fantastic fit and lightweight. Bought it on sale before X-mass. Best helmet I've ever owned and looks good !
Ventilation could be better but worth it to have safer helmet
