I use the tube in conjunction with SLIME (tube sealant). Slime has a Mfg useful life of about 2 yrs, I'm able to get 4-5 yrs out of the SLIME. At that time I just replace the entire tube. The tubes have held up well even when the SLIME kicks in and seals the leak.
My tubes were probably 20 years old or more so when I put on new tires I got new tubes, too. I didn't realize Schrader valve stems are bigger than Presta valve stems so I had to drill out the holes in my wheels just slightly to fit the Schrader valve stems through. Nothing else to go on for now.
Packed well and a quality feel to the product.
