My choice for all tarmac rides. Good grip, very easy to mount and fit to rim. I run inner tubes and never had a puncture on them.
My only gripe is that tread wears out a lot faster than the predecessor GP 4000s.
Good purchase
These have been my go to tires for a while now. Never had a flat with them and they feel really slick and fast. Putting them on is a bit of a hassle but with decent tire levers its not a big deal.
I went back to these tires after trying multiple other brands and found these just last longer and are significantly better for a puncture protection. They typically ride on gravel roads and show no scarring after hundreds of miles.
Known as the best road tire and that's been my experience. Smooth and fast rolling. Great bike upgrade!
These tires r recommended as good tires but are nearly impossible to get on the rim. They are just way to tight, if I ever get a flat there won't be any changing along side the road cause I won't have the strength
I have used Contis for years and have made the transition to their tubeless. During the pandemic I tried another brand (supply chain) and they didn't have the same road feel, and durability was also less. I have continental tires on all of my bikes
The Conti GP5K is probably today's go-to standard for a basic all around tire. I don't race, so I can't comment on it's performance under those conditions. But for the average rider, these tires roll very smoothly, are relatively grippy, and have pretty long tread life. I have them on all my bikes.
This is used on my performance titanium bike. Very good durability. Use then on paved backroads and sometimes crushed stone trails common as rec trails in WI.
A little pricey, but probably still a good value considering tire life.
Amazing performance and comfort.
Always my go to road tires. Smooth on the roads here in the Pacific Northwest. Contis have been on my whelk for the past 25+ years! If it's works for you, don't change it!
Used the 32mm with tubes for a month and about 500 miles after a 6 month back order. I ran over something that put a 1 inch slice in the rear and now that tire is useless. Maybe just bad luck but will not order them again. I'll stick with the 4-season or gatorskin.
Got the 28 mm version. Extraordinarily comfortable especially on chip seal roads which are very common where I live. Great grip on wet roads, too. A little pricey, but if you want to avoid disappointment, always buy the best; and these are the best.
Always been a fan of Conti tires due to performance and longevity.
I have used Continental tires for over 30 years and absolutely love them
As a weekend cyclist I don't need top of the line tires. These tires work well and hold up on the sorry roads I I'm forced to ride.
Love these tires , rarely flat . They have gotten me through many triathlons with no flats . Easy to get on and off .
I bought these to replace my aging tires specifically for a century in San Antonio with all the crappy Texas chip seal you can imagine and they held up great (no flats!). I bought 28mm and haven't tried putting calipers on them but my guess is they're narrow. I was able to mount them with my bare hands too, which is always a plus. Great tires, would buy again.
6000 mile per year road rider and have easily gotten 5000+ miles regularly on them.
These tires are awesome. They move fast, but they don't wear fast. The tan sidewalls also look pretty sweet, which of course is the most important part of cycling...
You already know, these are great. The gold standard of tubed road tires.
