I live in Mass where road maintenance is an afterthought. There's a ton of salt dumped on each road every week. The hills are big for me as well. I like to ride smooth, lite weight Michelins but I was getting a flat multiple time per week. I have moved over to the Gatorskins for my training wheels. Their size makes them a bit more comfortable. Not sure how they corner under speed because of the salt, I haven't been pushing hard in the corners. But so far they have accomplished their primary function of not giving me flats.
After two rides across the USA I find the Gatorskins are the best at preventing sidewall blowouts and flats.
Nothing but good service and merchandise. Will use for future buys. 3284 miles last year and kept old tires as backups in between flat rotations. Key to no flats is watch the road. Gator Skins are my tire of choice for the blacktop.
Using gatorskins for over 6 years, never have a reason to complain about them, folders and wire bead are interchangeable for me. Expect a fight when you put them on new...

These are the first Gatorskin tires I've used. Previous tires were the Grand Prix 4000 SII's. So far I love the Gatorskin. We have horrible , debris -lined roasts here in Mobile and I haven't had a flat yet. Great price too.
After many years of daily urban commuting and weekend club rides (average 100 miles per week) the Gatorskin tire is the only one I've tried that I can depend on to not flat and which will outlast all others. Buy this tire, unless you like changing flats at the side of the road!
Use in weekly group rides in the Orlando area. The tires last many miles and are easy on the pocketbook. They are hard to put on a wheel.

I have a set of 700x28 on my hybrid not sure of mileage but I have been riding on them for 7 or eight years I have had 'ZERO FLATS' they are pretty worn down. Talking about bang for your buck!
Love these tires. I hate flats so so love the puncture protection. They are not 100% puncture proof, but much better than lighter Race tires.
