It took me a long time to switch from shorts to Bibshorts but I have to say that Castell's Free Aero Race Bibshort made it easy! In fact this is my second pair. They are comfortable, even after a 100 mile ride. What made me hesitant to change was having to take off my jersey to use the ladies room but its really no big deal. Quick and easy.
I had a off brand bib thinking it wouldn't make a difference. Then one day on a long 3hr+ ride, I couldnt take it. Ordered the Castelli bib and went on a 6hr ride with NO issues! Loved it!
The feel of the fabric is amazing and the chamois is comfortable and fit perfectly. I am still getting used to taking off my jersey to use the restroom. But my time in the saddle was awesome, no sore butt after the ride! Yes, I am a fan!
I love these so much that I'm making custom shorts and using these. They're amazing quality. A little tighter fitting so consider that when sizing.
I am a tough customer when it comes to bibs. I can guarantee that I am the pickiest around. The Free Aero Race 4 is PERFECT. There is no shifting, bunching, pinching or other annoyances with these. Super compressive without the dreaded sausage leg. Breathable fabric and minimal branding, so that one doesn't become a moving billboard. Chamois is top notch!!
