No matter how you decide to ride, the right handlebars are the pinnacle of stability and comfort. Upgrade to the bars that best suit your preferences without sacrificing durability. Built to last a lifetime, Zipp's Service Course SL-80 Ergo handlebars now have an option for those who prefer an ergonomic flat top.
The new Service Course SL-80 Ergo retains the same 80mm reach and 125mm drop of the existing Service Course 80 bars, perfect for a rider looking for a medium reach and shallow drop who likes reaching down to, rather than into, the drops. New is the flattened bar top and a 3° backsweep for a neutral wrist position on the tops. The bars feature a 7° ramp angle for a flat transition to the hoods and a 4° outsweep at the drops. In addition to the ergonomic benefits, the Service Course SL 80 Ergo is our first ergo bars to be clip-on compatible.
Made of 7050 aluminum, the Service Course SL-80 Ergo weighs 275g for a 42cm-wide bar. It is available in High Polish Black, which features white logos on a gloss black background, or Beyond Black, with a subtle matte black logo on the gloss black bar. Light weight, stiffness, and comfort: the Zipp Service Course line provides the right fit for all rider types.

I have been using round section handlebars for years. I swapped out my old bars for these primarily for the flattened tops. Installing them myself pretty easy. The groove for the cable-casing was tucked nicely away. The shallower drop and shorter reach was an added bonus: the cockpit now feels like it fits me just so -- and no more sore hands.
I preferred aluminum over carbon, obviously for price, but these are just a few grams heavier than carbon, and even though it might be a superstition on my part, having had a friend break carbon bars, I feel more secure with metal for this part.
I put these bars on a brand new Specialized Diverge and they work really well with the bike. Very comfortable both in the drops and on the hoods, plus the shaping on either side of the stem makes them even more comfortable when on the bars. Great choice!
I'm considering get another one to put on my backup bike.
