If you're hitting the roughest terrain or you're mounting your bottle horizontally between your aero bars, XLAB's beefed up Gorilla XT Cage makes sure your bottle stays put for when you need it. It utilizes the same six high-shouldered arms and tall retention-tab design as the standard model, but thicker and stiffer carbon increases its holding power by a power of two. A flared entry still makes it easy to take a drink without having to struggle or upset the balance of your bike so you can soldier on while being sure of your hydration.
Claimed weight is 49 g. Requires traditional bottle shapes with a deep, uniform groove near the top to clear the retention tab. Bottles such as the Camelbak Podium are not compatible.

This cage works as described. Finally a cage that hold onto bottles behind my seat (TT bike). Actually, the grip is so tight that it can be a little tricky to get the bottle out while riding, but becomes pretty easy with a little experimentingpractice. I just wish these things were a bit cheaper.
