Description

Powerful, quiet, and commercial-grade. The professional percussive therapy device in a league of its own.

Top-of-the-line, commercial-grade deep muscle treatment meets personalized, guided app experiences that help to reduce muscle soreness, improve mobility, and increase relaxation with the Theragun PRO Smart Percussive Therapy Massager. With a rotating arm and continuous battery life the Theragun PRO is the advanced, professional-grade recovery tool of choice for professionals and everyday people worldwide. Developed by Dr. Jason Wersland, every aspect of the Theragun PRO has been thoughtfully designed for maximum ergonomic comfort and unparalleled professional-grade durability and treatment.

6 Easy-to-Clean Attachments

Hard plastic attachments can harm the body, so we designed ours with comfortable, non-porous closed-cell foam, which can be easily cleaned for a hygienic and relaxing experience. Each has a unique shape and impact level to ensure the right treatment in the right area — the result of years of feedback from our founder Dr. Jason's actual patients.

  • Supersoft Attachment - Impact Level: 1/10 - Theragun's version of vibration therapy and mostly used for sensitive areas, including bones.
  • Dampener Attachment - Impact Level: 3/10 - Used mostly for tender or bony areas. Perfect for overall use.
  • Standard Ball Attachment - Impact Level: 5/10 - Perfect for overall use on large and small muscle groups.
  • Thumb Attachment - Impact Level: 7/10 - Used mostly for trigger points and the lower back.
  • Wedge Attachment - Impact Level: 5/10 - Perfect for shoulder blades and IT bands and commonly used for "scraping" and "flushing," which help to decrease the amount of lactic acid in muscles.
  • Cone Attachment - Impact Level: 10/10 - Used mostly for pinpoint muscle treatment, including the hands and feet.

My doctor recommended a massage run to help me treat a long term glute problem that has kept me from running for a year. I was looking at a Hypervolt Plus and Theragun Elite (both were $300 on sale). The Hypervolt had more power and slightly lower amplitude (14mm vs 16mm) than the Elite. I liked the fact that you have more hand positions on the Theragun Elite with its triangular design, but I also read some reviews that said it was a little under powered and could stall when using aggressively on bigger muscles, like glutes, if you push hard (which is the point of a deep massage). This concerned me because glute massage was the main purpose of buying it, so I spent the extra $100 for Theragun Pro, which has even more power than the Hypervolt Plus, has the triangular design and also had an adjustable plunger angle. The Pro is probably overkill for me, but for $100 I did not want to be short on power. I am very happy with the decision. I think the Elite would have probably been powerful enough (my pain threshold is not close to being high enough to stall the Pro) but being able to adjust the angle of the plunger so that it is always perpendicular to my body is really useful for full body self massages. I use it to massage my feet, legs, shoulders, back and traps and I change the plunger angle several times during a massage and it really helps. I'm not sure if the adjustable plunger alone is worth the extra $100, but I'm glad I have that feature along with not having to worry about power. I think there is no doubt that I would have loved the Elite also and would have been very happy if I bought that one.

Overall, this is a very good tool to keep feeling loose and preventing the little niggles that build up when running or cycling or whatever you do. After not really running for a year, I am very slowly ramping up and using the massage gun daily and sometimes twice per day and have had no pain in glutes, hips or anywhere else. Time will tell if I'm cured (also doing a lot of strengthening, balance, yoga type exercises ) as I ramp up miles, but so far I would highly recommend one of these if you are frequently stiff and develop niggles or imbalances from long endurance workouts. The other reviews here ring true to me.

I'm 58 and a long time runner, turned cyclist. I have run about 25 marathons and ultras and have taken up cycling/touring (and loving it) to replace running as injuries have kept me from running. I think I still have a few more marathons in me if I'm smart about training and recovery...but will keep cycling too.

    The best

The pro was recommended by a trainer. She said because of the unique shape of the handle, you can get to all muscle groups. That is important because you cant do that with other massagers. We use it almost everyday, its that good. Its expensive for sure, but you really get what you pay for here. As a cyclist, it really helps recovery unlike cheaper versions.

This amazing tools has given me the muscle relief I've been seeking

Where has this been all my life? I guess percussion massagers have not been on my radar. I've been suffering from extra-tight back muscles which has been causing me discomfort and pain for several years. I've been to doctors, nutritionists, physical therapists, and have been doing exercises and stretches and taking supplements with only little success. After finding out about the Theragun I decided to get the Pro model. Go big or go home, right?

This newest model is not loud like the previous model. I love the triangular handle grip as well as the adjustable nature of the rotating arm. I find that I need to adjust the arm and change my grip in order to comfortable massage the muscles in my quads, hamstrings, glutes, lower back, and my IT band. The relief I get from using this tool DAILY (or twice a day!) is fantastic. I'm very pleased. Yes, it is an expensive accessory but has been invaluable to me.

    Next Level Percussion Massage

Yes this massage gun is expensive, but the quality of the device matches the sticker price. If cost is no object this massager is the way to go. Feels well made in the hand and function is incredible. My legs feel like jelly after a thorough session, and the battery life is great.

Great tool for a faster recovery

I love this thing. I use it almost everyday in the morning as part of my stretching routine to warm up my legs and at night after training rides while I watch TV. Its not the same as getting a massage by a masseuse but its cheaper and small sessions everyday is great maintenence.

    Well made quality wise

It would be nice if the RPM's could be lowered even more to say 1250 ? Current range is 1750-2400 and is aggressive. It is also fairly loud but no end to power and the 2nd battery option is great when the 1st quits in the middle of a session lol
