The Shimano SH-MW502 Winter MTB Shoe keeps your feet warm and dry even when the weather is cold and wet.
Featuring Shimano's waterproof DRYSHIELD membrane, plus a cozy fleece liner, secure-closing lace flap, and neoprene ankle collar, these shoes are your best defense against cool conditions.
Built to survive and thrive in the most challenging riding conditions, these SPD-compatible cold weather riding shoes feature a new lighter-weight XC3 outsole that provides secure off-bike grip on wet surfaces. The MW502 also employs 360-degree reflective printing that makes you more visible to motorists when the light is low.

Blown away with the difference these winter shoes make. Dry and warm feet in all of the conditions I've ridden in so far this winter. That includes temps down to 28F, rain, and mud.
The only thing different about these is the closure is more like a hiking boot. I think the more expensive model is a BOA.
I wear US 11 1/2 shoes and have narrow feet. The size 46 in these is perfect for me with thicker winter socks.
