The Shimano 105 FC-R7100 Crank is a super sturdy 2x12 HOLLOWTECH II style crankset intended to be paired with the new 12-speed 105 Di2 or Mechanical groupset.
The crank comes in both a 50x34t, and 52-36t configuration. Combined with the new 11-34 and 11-36t cassettes, it delivers a low, even sub 1:1 gear combination that can help riders take on steeper slopes, and better control their efforts.
The new Shimano 105 12 Speed Di2 groupset brings the benefits of semi-wireless electronic drivetrains to their workhorse line of components. But this crank works equally well with the standard 105 12 speed groupset as well.

I recently purchased a bike with 105 di2, but it came with a Shimano non-series crankset. I replaced the crankset with the 105 7100 before riding the bike because I knew that detail would bug me forever. Compared to the older gen 105 cranks, these are more angular and modern in appearance. From a distance, they look identical to the new Ultegra and Dura Ace cranks. Other than that, these aren't too heavy and aren't too expensive - what you expect from 105 components.
I had been using a Dura Ace 9100 crank but recent history of DA and Ultegra cranks breaking caused me to downgrade to 105. So far, I am very happy with this 105 crank. It works with 10spd chain, shifts as good as DA. The big knock about 105 is that small parts tend to break off. No small parts on the crnks. The only caution is that chainrings are not backward-compatible. You need to use current chainrings due to crank shape at spider.
