It's only one-sided, but it's significantly lighter than the spider-based power meters, and more stealthy. Unless you're really worried about L/R power balance, this is all you really need. Also, SRAM's spider meters still require 4-bolt chainrings, which are heavier (and I've broken some, although not SRAM's). I prefer the modern direct-mount chainrings, which work with this spindle-style meter.
