The Aksium Disc Clincher Wheelset is an entry-level road-disc wheelset that still holds up to Mavic's high performance standards. They feature a disc-specific rim design with a 17 mm internal width compatible with 25 mm - 32 mm tires. H2 drilling means the areas around the spoke holes are harder so the rim is stronger where you put the most stress, and 24 steel straight-pull spokes on each wheel are threaded into brass nipples for a dependable build. Low-friction cartridge bearings sit inside aluminum hub bodies.
Claimed weight is 1965 g. Shimano/SRAM 9/10/11 speed compatible.

I use the wheels on a Surly Karate monkey that is set up as a gravel bike. I run the rims with 40mm tires.
I don't think the beads hook the tires a good a they should. Had to adjust tire to rim by adding and letting out air to make the tire seat.
