The Castelli Men's Espresso Jersey is designed and engineered with an emphasis on comfort and performance. No matter what type of ride you are planning on today, the Espresso Jersey is the best choice.
No matter if you normally wear an aero race-fit jersey or a more regular cut jersey, the Espresso will be your new favorite jersey. Castelli developed a fabric that would allow for a close-to-body fit without being constrictive or feeling tight. The fabric also offers great breathability and moisture management, and as an added bonus, the fabric tests well in the wind tunnel too! Next, they focused on the waist and pockets, so that you can load up the pockets when a long day is in store and nothing moves around. There is a fourth zippered security pocket to keep your valuable safe. Finally, they use a tried and trusted full-length YKK® Vislon® zipper.

I have 2 of these in different colors, a great option for very warm rides: seems to do best -- for me at least -- in the 75-90 degree range. (90+ I'm reaching for the Castelli Climber's A/C jersey or something similar.) Fabric is lightweight and stretchy, feels great against the skin. It's form-fitting without being a super tight race fight. (I'm 5'9" w/ a 40 chest and wear a L.) The zipper is very easy to navigate when lowering during climbs and pulling back up for descents. The lack of design/branding is a big plus in my book, makes it easy to combine with various different shorts regardless of brand. Keep in mind that the white version is a bit transparent; I think the main product photo for the white ("ivory") is very accurate in this regard.
My only complaint is about the rear lower hem. It doesn't seem to stay flat, kind of folds up under itself during rides. Not a major complaint; not worth taking off a star, and might be due to my size. But something I've noticed in comparison to other jerseys I have from Giordana and Assos that don't have this problem. Regardless, fills in well for the very warm (but not hot) riding range.
Very lightweight and breathable, well constructed with some nice quality touches like the zip pocket for your cash and keys. The only drawback I've found is that any weight in the back pockets will tend to pull the jersey low on your back and I find myself frequently adjusting it to get it back to normal.
Excellent jersey that works best in warm to hot conditions and I primarily reach for this jersey in the sumemr months. However, I have ridden this jersey with a base layer into the high 50s and remained comfortable. I am 5' 11", about 177 lbs, with a 40R chest. I purchased a size XL and it works well for my preferences. I could have fit into a size L due to the stretch fabric if I wanted a tight race fit. The fabric breaths very effectively and is very comfortable. To be honest, one of the big selling points was the excellent choices in bright, solid colors. I have both the vivid orange (my favorite color for visibility) and the red and I am very happy with the purchases. These jerseys are a very good value when the jerseys are on sale.
A well-made product. Fit is good, I like the zipper pocket. But for SF Bay Area, it's too light for mixed conditions. My XL Espresso jersey weighs only five ounces, while most of my jerseys are 7-8 oz. The SF Bay Area has lots of different micro-climates. A ride can go from temps in the 90s on an exposed inland climb to temps in the 60s on a foggy coastal descent. I prefer a slightly heavier jersey the keeps me barely warm enough in cool temps, but keeps me cool enough when fully unzipped in the higher temps. Castelli jerseys are a little too thin. I agree with most comments that you should order a size up. With a 42" chest, I'm a large in most jerseys, but an extra-large in Castelli jerseys. Price is OK when on sale.
Stretchy material, very comfortable. Just remember that Castelly usually runs 1 or 2 sizes smaller. You can try using their recommended size tool on their website, have in mind that their size guide mentions the maximum measure, not an average. For example, I got an XL, according to their website, it would be 108cm for the chest and 94cm for the waist; I'm 107/92 and the jersey fits tailored, not "relaxed fit" as the website suggests nor baggy/flappy. Other than that, I'm more than please with all my Castelli ride wear.
