Love the sole of the shoe

I like the shoe more off the bike than my other commute shoes. It has good grip and feels like a running shoe (that doesn't flex). I don't like the placement of the cleat as it doesn't give any clearance to the crank arm. I do prefer it as close as possible with out any interference. This shoe rubs. I am thinking about adding an extra washer between the pedal and the crank arm to see if that mitigates the problem. That said I do like the shoe

Nice shoe....more volume than other Fiziks

I love Fizik shoes. I have 3 pair of Vento Stabilita, 2 pair of Vento Ferox Carbon, 1 pair Vento Powerstrap Aeroweave, 2 pair of Terra Powerstrap X4, 1 pair of Terra X5, 1 pair of Terra X3 and the new Aeroweave X. ALL of those shoes above are 43 and all fit identically. The Vento Proxy in 43 that I own has a TON of volume in the forefoot and the single Boa simply cannot close that up. Length and width are spot on to all my others. But the volume is simply too much. These were clearly built on a high volume last. Sizing down won't work IMO. I had to add a thick insole to make the shoes fit like all the others. Not ideal, but works ok. These shoes are the only pair of Fiziks I own that doesn't have the little rubber gripper dots in the heel which keeps the heel firmly planted in the shoe. I know that all sounds bad. But, they are built very well, have incredible ventilation, are reasonably light and if volume is what you need then they might very well be the ticket. Just be aware that if you have any of the other pair of Fiziks like I listed above, these will NOT fit the same.

Very Comfortable Shoe

I got a pair of the discontinued color/size on sale. These would have been worth the money even if they weren't on sale. I have a wider foot and these are very comfortable. Shimano build quality never disappoints. These have holes for both two-bolt and three-bolt cleats. I use them on SPD pedals. Note that the profile using SPD is pretty high - the holes are not recessed because of the shoes also have three-bolt compatibility. Got a pair of SPD cleat covers to address this issue when walking. Very glad I bought these.

Great option for a bit more width

I am moving from 2 decades of SIDI shoes, which have always worked out for me, however my foot has widened a bit with age and I was starting to develop some numbness I had not previously experienced. On recommendation I have shifted to the Lake shoe. It is definitely more roomy and so far good, but with my typical very thin sock they have more volume that I am used to. I am still working through that. Soles are rigid, material quality is high and the BOA has not been finicky and adjust well.
