Why is it so hard to take a day off? This subject is deep, very complicated, and the training ideas from the experts vary. I'm not going to pretend to have all the answers here. But knowing the human body the way I do (I own one personally), I've learned the hard way to rest.

August Swim Workout
2900 yards/meters. Build your power!
We're going to build some power in your work now. You've built endurance, and you should be feeling stronger now.
These workouts are shorter and more intense with less rest. I try to keep the "jargon" down to a minimum; not everyone comes from a Master's background.
Warm Up (WU) - 700
500 (yards or meters) - You don't have to do 500 straight. Start off steady, break it up a bit, adjust your goggles, mix in some other strokes like backstroke or breaststroke.
