Long time road rider. I have worn out the battery on 3 varia units, much quicker than the head unit battery. The battery charge lasts through a couple of long rides, same as Garmin. I am hoping, but don't know, if it will do better than the varia at holding that charge 2 years from now. My hope is based on a newer design and electronics. The mount is sturdy, and easier to secure to the seat post. Some of the features are controlled through a separate app, although you won't need to use the app after initial set up. Radar function works as well as the Garmin, and there are more flash patterns, the light turns off if there are no cars detected, and it has a brake light function.

I had a night rider light before and liked it. Unfortunatly I misplaced or lost it after I had it for 6-8 years.
So I love my new nightrider light even more because it is smaller, and more powerfull. The different brightness modes are awesome and easy to change.
Also I like the nightrider light because it is being manufactured in San Diego were I live and ride. I went to their shop once and had my older light rebuilt under warrenty.

this replaces a wahoo elmnt bolt that worked well for many years, but finally died.
this device looks and feels of good quality. it is rather large compared to bolt, but this is due to the solar battery-related. fine with me. it is not heavy.
screen and maps are legible and easy to access on bike
Coros set up app was easy and synching with strava was straightforward
battery is amazing. i received it fully charged and after 12 hours of use still has >50% original charge. i have never needed to charge it.

I will start by saying I am a Garmin fan from cycling computers to my watches. But I do review honestly and this is no different. As usual having varying models of Garmin watches over the years I finally bought the 965 over a year ago. Now let me caveat this review with the fact I am no runner but a cyclists. The features for the most across Garmins range are the same. Oh, you get some more bells and whistles and functions the more you pay no doubt. I need only HR, FTP, VO2, Endurance Score, Pulse Ox, and I am happy. The 965 does this and more obviously. The system seems very accurate as well when compared to known calibrated devices that measure these variables. So to keep this review simple and not bore folks with in depth cycling needs and results, it meets my needs and plenty more. Battery life usually yields 6 days unless I am cycling in warm months when I use the features more. Screen visibility 8s awesome and easily read in bright sun without washout. This watch has never had one hiccup in a year. Worth purchasing if you need a great all-purpose health watch. Yes, there is a newer model but unless you need it's functions, save some money and get a 965. Sorry for any typos ahead of time.
