Good solid training tire. This is Vittoria's workhorse distance tire. I have about 500 miles on it using it as a rear tire and it is just starting to show wear so it should last a good long time. So far, no flats.
The ride is good and the grip seems good also.
I've found these tires to be every bit as supple and probably a bit more durable than similar tires from other brands (e.g. Michelin, Schwalbe). They are a little bit heavier than top-end racing clinchers, but for the purposes of the non-racing cyclist or the racing cyclist logging training miles on unswept roads, they are excellent. The added weight probably contributes to puncture resistance and long-term durability. At the price they are being offered here, and considering how long they should last you, these tires are an excellent value.
I've been pleasantly surprised by the wear, traction, rolling resistance and overall value of these tires. I bought a pair to finish the second half of the winter riding season but they have plenty of tread, ride fast enough, and look good, so I'm in no hurry to change them out. While I love the Open Corsa tires, the Rubino Pro III is the sensible alternative for high mileage training. These tires have proven tough, as I've had to ride over plenty of debris on roads being repaired, chipped, and cleaned, as well as washouts from recent heavy storms. At this price, why hesitate?
The Vittoria Pro III Road Tire is my go-to tire, have been riding these for years. They hold traction well on wet pavement. I was stoked to get an even better price since these came without packaging. Who needs a box, I just want to ride (saving ain't bad either)! I bought four and got free shipping. Stocked up for the season.
This tire performs well, handles great on cornering, really good for not flats-so far
