I have used the thread together bottom bracket for this same bike. Since the frame as titanium the dissimilar materials almost fused together making it really difficult to remove. To answer your question, yeah I prepped the surfaces before installing. Anyway Its odd that I would pick a bottom bracket based on removing it but did. I expect to wear it out. I put over 6,000 miles on the commuter per year. I'm expecting to replace this every two years. On the bright side this part is about a third of the price of that wheels manufacturing thread together, so win/win?
Not a fan of the BBright design in general, but ignoring that this BB itself does its job for a decent price. You could argue it's worth the extra money to get a thread-together adapter type BB but again, that's a different subject to review.
Easy enough to install with the proper tools, bearings spin as they should. Installed this for a friend who had been running the original BB in his 2012 Cervelo S5. Cranks felt much smoother after swapping, as to be expected. Got some creaking soon after, but that's more to do with the BB system design as a whole as well as the shell probably being a bit worn. When I get time I'll get the bike back from my friend, pull the BB, and add some Vibratite compound. That should clear up the creaking.

Cons with my carbon frame and these plastic cups, THE CUPS BACK OUT!!! So i repeatedly have to back off the BB preload or else the crank rotational friction increases drastically. As I race the bike each weekend i have been fooling with the crank/PF30 bb constantly! What a pain! Most recently a mechanic told me to use green loctite to prevent the cups from slipping outwards. I did that 2 days ago. I'll see if that fixes the problem. Basically i'm pretty unimpressed with the PF30 bb standard so far. Bearing friction tends to be high, exactly what I don't need.
Had to replace an older press fit BB and this replacement was perfect and an easy install.
