not as heavy as Woolie Boolies, but still very warm and medium thick. Great for chilly mornings that heat up as you ride. So comfy and are lasting better than some other wool socks I've bought...
I am a huge fan of smartwool and have pairs I have used for cycling for several years that stand up really well but this particular pair failed about the 4th time I used them. Big hole at the big toe. Fortunately smartwool has a return process that is a pain to complete but I did earlier this week and they have provided me with a gift card and free shipping to get a new pair already.
These socks are great in any condition especially, on long rides. I have a number of Smartwool socks and recently did a two day, 200 miles ride, and these were my choice. The comfort and moisture wicking was what I appreciate most but, the seamless toe stitching ensured there were no discomfort. Also, these are my go to socks during fall and mild winter riding.
Great socks. They fit perfectly, not bulky. Kept my feet warm at temperatures in the mid 40's.
