My second pair of Sidi shoes. My first pair lasted 30+years before the velcro straps irreparably loosened. I purposely ordered the Mega version of the same model shoe I originally wore, and it has more room in the toebox than the original version, which did not have a wide version of this model and felt a little tight initially. The leather of the Sidi Mega is a little stiff, and needs to be broken in a bit, but I expect them to be as comfortable as my old shoes...eventually.
I have had Sidi shoes pretty much since I bought my first set of clipless pedals. Theyve always been great shoes that were well built. This pair seems to be no exception. They fit well and are very comfortable with one small exception. The left shoe rubs the inside of my foot just below and forward of the knob on my ankle (i.e. Malleoli) as I ride. The rubbing seems to be diminishing as I put more mileage on them, so Im presuming that it will disappear altogether with a bit more riding.
This is my first pair of Sidi shoes that have the BOA type adjuster. It took me a few rides to get used to it, but I can make adjustments on the bike with no issue.
Overall a very good pair of shoes for the price.
these are very comfortable. I was looking for a shoe that was a little wider. As my distance in my rides progresses my feet seem to flatten out a bit and my old shoes it would start cramping side to side and pinching the outside of my foot. these have enough room to not do that while still not slipping around. the velcro straps get nice and tight and the bolo is easy to use. i like that they have a replaceable heel as well as that heel seems to make it easier to walk vs my older L. Garneau shoes
I bought these shoes to replace a pair of Sidi's that finally wore out after more than 12 years of riding. I have wide feet and the Mega style fit well. I wear size 10.5 street shoes and I ordered size 45 Sidis. I was not familiar with the fastening system that Sidi uses, which they call Techno 3, but after careful reading of the instructions I find it easy to use. These shoes are very well made and I expect them to last like the last pair.
I wear a size 15 shoe, and the Sidi Alba 2 Mega are a perfect fit. This is the first cycling shoe I've had that was wearable out of the box. Comfortable on long rides. These are a bit more expensive than some other options, but it isn't worth it to skimp on specialty shoes.
These Mega shoes are the bomb for us old guys! My feet have flattened and spread. Had to let my two other pairs go;sadness. Can't say enough about these shoes. I did switch out the foot bed though. I have happy feet now!
Road shoes that I has bought originally in regular, but had to buy again in MEGA width size. Super stiff and that sometimes causes a bit of numbness, but otherwise comfy. The dial is a bit funky to adjust on the bike, but not impossible. They also looked like they weren't vented very much, but they do seem to get air flow to the feet.
