Cassettes just aren't worth spending a ton of coin on, they shift the same, and weigh slightly less for an expensive one, why bother?
Shifts perfect, under load too, it's perfect. Whatever Shimano did with Hyperglide 2, it's incredible. Never misses, never really does anything wrong either. I always replace after 3 chains, so they get usually 15000 miles on them and even in the middle/common gears, they are still fine, but that's just my rule.
No issue. Like the 11/34 spread with my 54/40 up front, got gears on all sides that way and almost never need more.
In the past I sometimes bought aftermarket cassettes, and when I'd bring the bike in to get help smoothing out some janky shifting, the first thing that I would hear from the mechanic is do you have a Shimano cassette you can install? The advantage of shedding a few grams for a uniblock cassette don't seem so great when you can't get a clean, reliable gear change.
When I was racing, I would spring for the DA cassette for my race wheels, and if money were no object, I'd probably spring for that, but nowadays. Ultegra is the go-to.
If you need those extra gears to get up those hills, this is what you are looking for.
Sure it's not DA, but it's also less than half the cost. The weight penalty isn't enough for me at least to justify DA. I have several of these and rotate them based on use cases. Great for training and crisp shifting.
Solid cassette, easy install, smooth shifting with a good amount of durability.
If you buy your bike parts buy this :^)
I bought this cassette to install in a newer trainer as my old trainer was for a 10 gear cassette and the new bike is a 12 speed cassette, the only minor issue was to fine tune the Di2 derailleur for the new gears. I wanted to mirror my current bike set up and this was the product to get. Thank you
I don't know what Shimano does to make their cassettes and rings shift so well, but they do it the best. Under load they shift perfectly, it's amazing.
No issues, find the combo you need, wait for a sale, and off you go. No noticeable difference in longevity or anything else over an expensive model or a cheaper model, they just sorta run. 3 chains per cassette rule seems to work.
Good product and great customer service
Good price, timely delivery and ready to be replace the exact same cassettes that I'm using
This is a nice upgrade over the 105 cassette without breaking the bank with the Dura-Ace. Easy to install with the proper tools, shifts great, nothing to complain about!
Very light and affordable.
Have used dura ace and ultegra cassettes for years and they have never let me down.
Easy to install and setup Di2. Half the price of Dura Ace cassette
