I use this on my gravel bike (on 27.5 wheels) with a 3248 adventure crank set-up. It allows me to climb about anything. I would like for it to be a little lighter, but the dependability is bullet-proof.
I think that sometimes there is the impression that if you pay more for bike parts that the more expensive parts work better. Not true. Tiagra is a good example of this. The Tiagra line functions perfectly. If you are worried about every gram of weight then, of course, buy Dura Ace. Tiagra suits me and my wallet.
I bought this cassette to replace the all black crummy looking 11-40 Sunrace cassette that came stock on my Trek DS4. Not only does it look so much more classy, it's an 11-42! Worked out just fine with the stock derailleur and chain. Shifts in to and out of the 42 easily. I am very happy with the outcome and glad I took the chance.
