I'm very late to the disc brake party. I've had a decent commuter bike with discs and appreciated how big a difference they made versus rim brakes, especially in wet weather but my commute doesn't really stress out the system. I recently bought a speedy Italian bike, though, and decided to pick it up over there and tour the Dolomites then hit the Alps. I can't say enough about how much better descents are with these. Excellent stopping power, smooth modulation, no noise, and no issues even as I got more and more aggressive.
2017 Specialized Roubaix just passed 38,000 miles and this is the third back rotor for the bike. I live in Sparks, Nevada, and enjoy many significant downhill decents in the area. Good braking is a necesity when decending from Ebbetts and Monitor Passes, and I find these rotors prevent brake fade. I weigh 200 lbs and the back rotor is only 140 mm so it gets severly punished. I stayed with the Dura Ace model as I prefer black to the silver of the Ultegra version. It will last for several years so I am willing to pay a little extra. Overall a good rotor.
Replaced my Ultegra discs with these new version Shimano Dura Ace discs after Ultegra disc were used up.
These Dura Ace disc were absolutely flat, no variation from true within the brake pads.
Very pleased with their performance.
Nice stopping, low noise.
These don't seem to suffer from the heat warp that the old dura ace rotors did. They are great
New, cleaner look with typical Shimano reliability.
These are awesome rotors. Tried them on steep downhill descents and they were amazing and stopped solidly. Best rotors i have of all my bikes
Great and lightweight Dura-Ace rotor. Seems to have an improved design to prevent warping, though I haven't experienced any warping on prior generations. Great quality as always from Shimano
Used this to replace my front rotor, which had worn thin. Works great!
