I installed these brakes on my cross bike to replace my Spyre brakes but that was a big mistake. When I was installing them I noticed that these brakes can easily bottom out - meaning that the actuator arm can bottom out against the cable guide before the pads fully close down on the rotor. Well, I thought that I had everything good, I was a shop mechanic and I've been riding for over 30 years, but as the brakes wore in, the bad design had the cable travel stop before the brakes fully engaged and I had a horrible crash that I'm still recovery from. Do Not Buy.
I have been using these brakes for the last year and they are super reliable. I like the easy set up; they look great and work well in all conditions. I have them on my Surly Krampus which is a beast and these were one of the first upgrades I made. I also use the awesome Shimano Icetech rotors which stay true way better than what came on the bike. If you don't want to go hydro look at these stoppers.
